Our local news Channel 8 gives the most news about whats happening in Connecticut. From robberies to arrests to fires, its all live and all good information. Many of the topics discussed are important to me becuase im on the fire department and they keep up to date with fire news and fires throughout Connecticut. They are also online so that they can be viewed almost anywhere, you can even get weatehr alerts from your phone all through News Channel 8.

For up to the minute local news, I usually turn to the television. National news, however, is usually more easily found on the Internet, so I usually read articles from news outlets there.

I always get my news from the local television station which is channel 6 news a.k.a News 6. I also get my news from the newspapers. I don't like to get my news from the radio because most of the time the stories be switched around or have pieces missing out of it. Also everytime something is going on in Philadelphia I can rely on News 6 for the full, true, and informational coverage of the story. That's why I get my news from News 6!

I watch CNN all the time. Although I mainly rely on alternative media for information. You can't trust your corporate media to tell you the truth. We're supposed to have freedom of speech but we are facing extensive media censorship and bias. This is why I mainly rely on infowars.com, prisonplanet.com, and google to get my information straight.

I usually get news from reading the newspapers because I don't have to sit through all of the other pieces of news just so I can hear what I want to hear, like on the T.V. or the radio. I feel that the newspapers do a nice job with getting important information out for the community to hear and people do not have to wait for a certain time to hear something that they want to hear. All of the media sources do a great job of getting the news to me, but I use the newspapers the most.

Most of the time I get my news from the internet. Like when im checking my e-mail, a top news story will be on the side of the screen. So I click on it. The other main source of my knowledge of news is my friends, usually I will hear about things from them. Or sometimes I watch CNN with my dad. CNN is a great source of news!

To me it is so easy to get the news. There are so many sources. I myself don't really watch the news but I sometimes like to read the paper. I mostly just hear about it from other people at school or my parents. If I need to know the weather right away I just look online. News is so easy to come by, I know that it did not used to be like this though.

I get my news from a variety of places. Which ever source is available at that time is usually where I get my information from. In the morning i normally watch Good Morning America while getting ready for school. Then, on my way to school, I listen to the radio, where they normally talk about the previous night's football game, or the latest news on the nations favorite (or most hated) celebrity. Then at school, where I don't have the option of watching TV, or listening to the radio, I go online and see what's going on there. Later that night, before i go to bed, I tune into the news for the next days weather report.

Accurate information is something that has become very hard to come by in our day and age. I personally get my news from talk radio, The Drudge Report, and FOX news. I would never consider getting my information from an entertainment magazine or website. I pride myself on being a well rounded person. This could never be achieved if I got my information from an entertainment source that had no credibility.

I get my news mostly from news parodies found on Comedy Central where the stupid biases and unimaginative cover-ups are exposed for the idiocricies they truly are. I can't watch biased news channels (Fox News obvious conservative leaning for one) and can't stand the supposed errors and ADD seat fillers such as the horror of a catfight between Madonna and Angelina. I'm sorry, but when The Daily Show unearths the stupidity we are thought to take for granted from these channels it’s hard to ignore their lies when I see them.

My family doesn't get the newspaper so I don't get anything from there, but I do watch the news on TV sometimes. I rarely go online for info, but there have been a few things I have learned off Yahoo or my homepage if the story is big enough. Or at least I think it is.

I like to get my news from various sources so that I can ensure myself that I am getting the facts and not some distorted view of reality. How I stay informed is I usually go online for news or watch TV because it is easier to get information on the Internet or watching it on TV. Also, it’s much quicker then reading a newspaper. I think TV does and doesn’t do a good job because sometimes they just take the side of one person. Also, TV sometimes exaggerates the real issue. The problems that you can get from the TV is that you could only get one side of an argument or a problem because TV only shows the information when people pay them, so if someone from one side of an argument pays the TV and the other side doesn’t you only get that one side information. TV plays an important role because it gets around to people faster that live around the world. Also more people watch TV so it gets out to a lot of people.

I normally get my news from either the newspaper, online, or word of mouth, whatever I find first. I think TV news presents what’s normally important, but problems could come up from bias or twisting the stories to make them more interesting, though this isn’t just limited to TV news. It has such an important role in politics today because it’s the fastest, easiest way to get their beliefs out to people.

I stay informed by watching the debates when they are coming out and listening to some of the talk shows. I listen to the talk shows and see if i like either one of the issues that are being put out. I get my news from the T.V and sometimes the newspaper. Yes I think that TV news does a good job on getting the issues out to me. Some problems coming from the TV news is that the news station could be one sided and show the one candidate more then the other so that the viewer is getting familiar with the one candidates face. Some people depend on TV to get there latest views on politics. This is such an important role because a lot of people just watch TV and that is where they would get to know the candidates running.

I usually get my news from the television or off of cnn.com. I feel that the TV does a great job of presenting the news and explaining the major information. The only problem with the news from the TV is that sometimes they do give false information to make it interesting. Television does play a major part in politics because during elections it allows the candidates to get name recognition and the television gives so much more information on the election than the newspaper does.

I normally get my information from the news in the morning, because when I go to eat breakfast in the morning its always on and I just don’t feel like turning it off. Also, I get my news from the newspaper because its always laying on the counter and sometimes I read it, and my dad shows me articles that he wants me to read to. The T.V. does do a good job of presenting the issues because I can get the information directly but it can also be very one sided. They pick what they want you to hear and exaggerate on those issues. If you get all your information from the TV you really only get one side of the story and it may convince you to have a different opinion then you would normally have then if you saw both sides of the story. TV has such a big impact because it can spread very direct one sided information and it can spread to a very wide area of people at one time.

TV shows many things about different subjects. Many times it is about our government and our president. Whether its good things or to make fun of the it, it’s on TV. TV is viewed widely by most of the population and most of them are kids/teens. I think that it is good because we can know what is going on and happening with in our country. With the world going as fast as it is I stay informed by The TV and the Internet. I get my news in the morning sometime by the Fox News team and also at night by Mr. Stephen Colbert. It is a good show that brings the youth into politics in a funny and entertaining way. It is bad from the TV because they only tell what they believe in. As heard Fox news is very Republican and that can affect most of the viewers into believing in Republican. However TV is a good and reliable source. TV is such an important role because most people lives go around the TV today. There are many people that have to listen to the commercials today and that can affect their vote. Many people don't really know the differences between each party and just vote on what they hear over the TV.

I think if someone only depended on the TV for their daily news they would get a lot of information out of the news segment, but some of the stories may be over exaggerated. If we did not have TV people who are not big on politics wouldn’t even have a chance to learn about the candidates and their issues (commercials) debates are import because they show where the candidates stand on issues.

Usually I get the news from my parents’ friends and/or co-workers. I don’t watch the news because they always show things that I’m not interested in. The news is targeted towards a more mature adult audience. The issues are maybe the most important but definitely not the most relevant and entertaining.

I get my news form TV, and internet. Yes, I think that they are a good source for the news because they keep you up to date on what is going on in the world. They also go into every subject of the news and what has happened.

Honestly, I don't get to watch too much news. But, when I do, I mainly get it from the internet on my cell phone. Then, when I'm home or driving around, I get some news from TV and the radio. I do think that some times, they do a good job of presenting the major issues to me. I usually know the major news issues, but I'm never really caught up on little stuff.

I get my news from the internet and sometimes when I listen to the radio. Yes I do think they are good sources but I prefer the internet because I could get right to what I need to know instead of listening to all of the news if I am in a rush. That is what I do.

I get my news from places such as T.V., the radio, newspapers, magazines, and the internet. I use all of my available resources as much as I can. More teens should take advantage of what’s in front of them.

I get my information from my parents and from Fox News. I get my information from my parents because they make it easier to understand some of the topics. I think the news media is doing an ok job but they can do better in explaining the topic more.

I get my news from Channel 6 and the Philadelphia newspaper. I think the media and the news papers do a good job issuing news to the public. They let us know what is going on and the problems we are facing in our community and in our world. The news papers keep me more up to date with what's going on because they give more detail.

I get my news from the TV. I do not watch a specific news channel, what ever one is on that morning is the one I watch. I think that any thing that deals with letting people know what is going on in the world is good, because some people do not have time to watch TV in the morning so that is why they grab a newspaper.

As a teenager, I read a lot of magazines, but I do not read the newspaper. I always get my information from television. It is much easier to listen than to read. I think newspaper does a good job for adults to know what is going on in society but not teenagers. I think TV news, TV shows do a better job for teenagers.

I use the internet a lot for my news source because I'm on it all of the time anyhow. I also like the in depth strands of stories I find on issues that maybe are just introduced on the television broadcasts. I can tune in to CNN and follow a brief story outline, then go to their internet website and get the bigger picture.

I get my news from many sources; I watch news stations with my parents and I read the paper and go online on my own time as well as when I'm in school. I use different sources because that way I'm sure that I'm getting all the information there is on whatever my concerns are.

I definitely get my news from my local news stations like kiro, komo and king but I also enjoy reading a newspaper on those long and boring rides on the bus especially after a good football game because, unlike TV shows, they don't talk about the highlights of the game, its every game and the games in detail but in all I think they both do a decent job in representing what’s going on in the world around us.

I don't really get involved much with news. Every once in a while when I turn on the TV and I switch to the news channel. I do get some information from there, but I mostly hear what’s going on in the city or the world from friends or family or teachers in our class. A lot of comedy shows that do present some kind of news are either altered to what they want it to sound like or they don't have all the true facts. Finding out what’s going on in the world and what issues are presented to the public or in Hollywood is not hard to find, because they have them all over magazines. Personally I don't like looking news up on the internet because the reading doesn’t really make me focused; I’d rather watch a video or see real people talk on the issues on TV.

I think that the news does a good job reporting; it’s the truth that I am more worried about. I usually get my news from watching programs such as Fox, CNN and local news broadcasts, but I sometimes wonder how much truth is in what they are telling me. That's why I try to watch more than one station and research the topics that I am mostly interested in. From there I can figure out what I believe and what I don't.

I think that I get my information from my family or the TV news. To me, I found out the whole story from the TV news other than just family. From my family I just get little pieces from them. The TV news is a very helpful source I think.

The majority of the news and the full truth I know comes from television and shows like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Personally, it seems wrong that I have to get it from a comedic source and that my own local news sources don't report the full details and truth. Records show that many others in my age group feel the same way and that they get their news from the same types of shows.

I usually get my news information either from television or the newspaper. I would say I get most of my information from television because it’s easier to get more information on a shorter period of time. With television you also get the feel of the topic and its environment, but again it’s very opinionated from the point of the telecasters. I also think the news targets the information they’re giving to the higher population of older people watching the news. Overall I think the news does a good job on giving the most accurate information they can give with the information they have gathered.

I normally get my news from the news that my uncle, or mother, watches at night. Otherwise I get news from friends at church, or on my MSN messenger news section which I consider to be dependable.
Also, if something catches my eye when I go on Yahoo, I will stop and read it. Finally the last way I get my news, is from my people to people meetings, that I have once a month, for a trip to Europe that I will be taking in June.

I get my news from the Dallas Morning newspaper that my family gets everyday and from the internet on yahoo. I just read whatever is easiest and available to me. I can't really judge how TV news stations present their information, but I think that they might be a bit biased in their reporting sometimes. For example, one of the commercials that I happened to see the other day of a news station: "It's not what's right, it's what's important."

Sure, I think the media is doing a fair job at getting us news. Yes, there are some papers and news channels that act more as tabloids than as sites for credible information, but for the most part, I enjoy keeping up with the day’s major events. Every day when I go to check my e-mail, I read what the Associated Press puts on Yahoo. They are speedy in getting events posted. Also, I usually watch CNN of MSNBC for a few minutes every night during those times when nothing else is really on, and they provide interesting stories and opinions that I sometimes agree with and sometimes feel are completely wrong. Nevertheless, staying informed is something easy that everyone should do. After all, it’s our world; we should know what it’s like.

I don't really watch the news or read the newspaper. I get all of my information from my government class! I think it is really important for teachers to keep their students informed on what is going on in the news, because not all kids like watching TV or reading.
