Welcome to the Educators' section of the Student Voices Web site. Whether you are a high school teacher currently using the curriculum or an administrator interested in learning more about our program for possible use in your school, this is your page! For Current Teachers:

  • Student Voices: The Video Training Guide - Watch these video tutorials to learn how to use the Student Voices curriculum, how to use the Student Voices website and how to organize debates and civics fair projects.
  • Curriculum and Lesson Plans - Every lesson of both curriculum modules, Student Voices in the Local Government and Student Voices in the Campaign, is available for download, in case you've lost your binder or need the updated material (last updated July 2005). In addition, there are several complementary multimedia lesson plans to help you conduct the Student Voices project in your school. If you are not a current Student Voices teacher, check out the materials for prospective teachers below, inclding how to register with Student Voices. If you are a current teacher who would like to give copies to fellow teachers, please ask them to register with us as well so we know who is using the program. 
  • Templates and Handouts - Here you'll find templates you can easily modify to invite speakers to your classroom and handouts on important issues. 
  • Press Kit - Everything you need to invite reporters and photographers to events involving your Student Voices class, as well as a checklist to help you prepare. 
  • Project Showcase - See a list of projects produced by Student Voices classes around the country, plus some examples of materials they developed, including voters' guides and websites.
  • Student Voices Videos - Student Voices Videos available online.
  • Ideas for Projects - View possible final projects for the Campaign module, and possible final projects for the Local Government module.
